So I love my cups of tea, but my mum takes it to a higher level. Every cuppa is accompanied by teapot, strainer, plate for stainer, jug of milk, and if its hot, a doily with beads sewn around its edge for the top of the milk jug (i'm not sure what this is for - is it to keep flies out?), plus assorted biscuits, and it goes without saying that there are no mugs at mum's tea table, just dainty fine bone china cups and saucers. Tea is a big event in mum's house. I guess she likes the ritual of it, so here is my little ode to the tea ritual...
