contact and the lost art of covering books

I really needed a new book to keep my recipes in and rather than buy one, I recovered an exercise book I had lying around in the crafty drawer...I had forgotten how good it feels to cover a book in sticky plastic and get a perfect result...no bubbles at all! I did the collage first, using some embroidery instructions and some random scraps I had and nothing more fancy than homemade wheatpaste....I love how it turned out but I cant take credit for the design - I'm pretty sure I bought a card that looked very similar from sweetsworkshop last year...
