coasters. who uses them? certainly not me. Thats the beauty of an ancient laminex table - mine features in most of the photos here, actually. despite the fact I dont use them, I have wanted to make these ever since I saw them in frankie mag, and the result pleases me beyond reasonng. what could be cuter? they are made from a very old golden book (which was very scary cutting up, by the way) and plain old PVA glue. a couple of coats of clear enamel and hey presto....what else can be done with golden books?? check it out, betty jo has heaps of ideas on her awesome blog: http://findmakedo.blogspot.com/2010/04/little-pots-o-gold.html
